Honor a Loved One with USS Midway Flag Services: A Unique Tribute
Celebrate the legacy of your loved ones with a our flag-raising service aboard the iconic USS Midway. Our Flag Service provides a meaningful way to honor military personnel, civilians, or anyone who holds the United States flag close to their heart. Whether you send your own flag or purchase one through our museum, it will be proudly raised to mark your special occasion.
HOW IT WORKS
To request a flag-raising ceremony, please provide the following:
- Contact Information
- Recipient Details: For military personnel, include the recipient's name and abbreviated rank.
- Flag: Provide a flag with grommets and/or fasteners. If needed, flags are available for purchase at $50 each.
- Postage: For mailed flags, include a return postage fee of $10.
Flag Flying Process
Once we receive your flag and details it will be raised aboard the USS Midway. After the ceremony, the flag will be returned to you along with a personalized Certificate of Honor as a keepsake.

DROP-OFF
Flags also may be brought to the USS Midway Museum. Place your flag and required information/postage in a sealed envelope marked: "ATTN: Flag Services"
When dropping off at the USS Midway Visitors Information Center onboard the ship ensure to include the name and phone number of the individual who will be picking up the flag.

Purchase U.S. Flag
If you don’t already have a flag, we offer U.S. flags for purchase for $50. These flags are suitable for raising onboard the USS Midway and will be returned to you after the ceremony, along with your certificate.
