Online Seminar Offerings
With the help of our generous donors and partners, The Midway Institute’s staff has compiled a selection of courses that are available online to aid in adult professional development.
Midway Virtual Institute
Launched in the summer of 2021 in response to the continuing need for teacher professional development. Short online seminars will be held during the school year on a variety of topics oriented to the material that teachers are planning to teach within the next few weeks. Further information as to exact topics, schedules, and the registration process will be announced on this web site when it becomes available.
Teaching American History
The Midway Institute for Teachers and Teaching American History (TAH.org) cooperate to present a seminar series on Essential Documents of American Freedom. Seminars are offered several times during the school year for teachers of American History, Government, Civics, or any teacher who uses American primary source documents. These free seminars are each based on an original source and are conducted as Socratic discussion will be provided for all participants attending, and some dates will include a short virtual guided tour of some part of the ship.
