23rd Anniversary Memorial of September 11, 2001

Must arrive no earlier than 1:45 p.m. and no later than 3:00 p.m. to attend.
On this twenty-third anniversary of the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, the FDNY Retirees of San Diego, along with the USS Midway Museum, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, National City FD, SDFF Emerald Society, and The Wounded Warrior Project will pay tribute, honor our fallen heroes and keep our promise to “NEVER FORGET”.
Following the Memorial Service, family and friends are invited to a reception at 5:00 p.m. at the Firehouse Museum, located at Columbia and Cedar Streets, San Diego. Must present the ceremony's program for admission.
The memorial will include:
- Honor Guards
- Pipes and Drums
- National Anthem
- Reading of First Responder Names
- Tolling of the Bells
- City of San Diego Fire-Rescue Helicopter Flyover
- Twenty-one Gun Salute
- Taps Harbor Police Fireboat Water Display
The memorial is open and free to the public.
