SH-3 Sea King
The SH-3 Sea King served as the Navy’s most capable anti-submarine helicopter for more than two decades. With powerful engines and a unique boat-shaped hull and inflatable pontoons, the Sea King offered new levels of safety and capability in a variety of missions including search and rescue, mine sweeping, as the President’s helicopter “Marine One”, and in Apollo astronaut recovery.
