A-6 Intruder
The A-6 Intruder set the standard in all-weather bombing for carrier aircraft. Equipped with an attack and navigation computer, the Intruder’s precision bombing made it the ideal choice for complex and dangerous missions deep inside North Vietnam. The A-6 was the mainstay for the Navy’s medium bomber community until superseded by the F/A-18 Hornet in the 1990s.
