EA-6B Prowler
The EA-6B Prowler was a twin-engine electronic warfare aircraft used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps from the 1970s until 2015. Developed by Northrop Grumman, it specialized in jamming enemy radar and gathering electronic intelligence. Recognizable by its four-seat cockpit and bulbous nose, the Prowler was equipped with the advanced ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System. It played a critical role in various conflicts, including the Gulf War and Iraq War, operating from both aircraft carriers and land bases. Designed to protect strike aircraft and gain air superiority, the Prowler remains an iconic figure in the realm of electronic warfare, even after its retirement.
